After the military academy, Nicolas Guillermin started his career in the French MoD, first in the domain of cryptography, then as head of technical directorate in the military Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) in charge of response to major cyberattacks affecting the MoD.
He then joined the strategic directorate of the French MoD procurement agency (DGA), tasked with the establishment of the investment roadmap of the MoD in the domain of cyberdefense.
He joined the European Commission 5 years ago, first as the cybersecurity manager of the Galileo Programme, then in charge of all security aspects of the flagship Programme IRIS², aiming at the establishment of a multiorbital constellation providing secure communication to governmental users.
