Alessandro Toscano (Capua, 1964) graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1988 and obtained his Ph.D. in 1993. Since 2011, he has been a Full Professor of Electromagnetic Fields at the Department of Engineering, University of Roma Tre. From January 23, 2018, to March 31, 2022, he served as Pro-Rector for Innovation and Technology Transfer. He will hold the position of President of the National Scientific Qualification Commission (ASN) – sector “Electromagnetic Fields” from February 2024 to April 2026. He currently serves as President of SIEm – the Italian Society of Electromagnetism, and is a member of the Lazio Region Observatory on the Impact of Regional Laws, the Executive Board of the Inter-University Research Center on Pollution and the Environment “Mauro Felli,” (Ciriaf), as well as the Executive Board of the Inter-University Center for Advanced Studies on Blockchain, Innovation, and Labor Policies (Labchain). Additionally, he is a member of the Italian Scientists Association (ISA) and serves as a Visiting Professor at Nanjing University (China).
