QTI – Quantum Telecommunications Italy is the first Italian Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) company, providing industrial grade systems and products for quantum networks. Headquartered in Florence, QTI was founded in 2020 as a spin-off of the Italian National Institute of Optics of the National Research Council (CNR-INO) and is today a subsidiary company of Telsy S.p.A., TIM Enterprise’s centre of excellence for secure communications and cybersecurity.

Achieving future-proof security on a large scale in government and business environments is at the core of QTI’s mission. Through the development and production of QKD systems, QTI provides the highest level of security for digital communications against the today and tomorrow’s threats.

QTI’s portfolio includes a complete QKD system, a Key Management Entity and a Software Defined Network solution, developed with proprietary patented know-how and expertise taking advantage of a strategic European supply chain.

From its foundation, QTI has contributed with its experts to major tests and experiments, and implemented national QKD networks in Italy and EU countries, serving multiple end-users.
