Is Space and critical infrastructure in the undersea dimension the new challenge among the great powers? Italy’s leadership in Space and maritime policies is confirmed and consolidated. How can Italy play a leading role in the Space Economy and in the underwater dimension, together with strategic companies in both sectors and in partnership with international allies?
These are the two main questions of the event that will take place in Rome on 3rd December 2024 in Rome at the Saloni di Rappresentanza della Caserma dei Carabinieri “Salvo D’Acquisto”, viale di Tor di Quinto – Roma.
Thanks to the contribution of national and international experts, the Conference will offer a wide-ranging discussion on the international Aerospace and Underwater sectors, with technological and regulatory developments in the security of space and underwater infrastructures, which are becoming increasingly strategic for Countries in the current geopolitical context.
Space & Underwater will also be a rich in-depth look at the spread of technologies capable of operating in the cosmos and at great depths that see the world’s main industrialized Countries as protagonists.
Today, the Space Economy is worth more than 509 billion dollars worldwide, a frontier of growth, innovation and development to discover and where the services sector is driving investments, particularly in telecommunications, satellite navigation and Earth observation. Today, the demand for services alone is estimated at 309 billion dollars.
Italy is playing an important role in this sector: we are the fifth Country in the world and the second in the European Union with investments of 4.6 billion.
Speakers at Space & Underwater will include leading personalities from the world of Institutions (Parliament, Government, Regulatory Authorities), Armed Forces, Industry and the most relevant stakeholders from Italy and other European and non-EU countries.
Space & Underwater is a closed-door event. The conference will be held in the presence of a selected, ad personam invited audience and will also be broadcast via live streaming. It will only be possible to attend by invitation from the organizers.
